A Bicycle Trip to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island

Today dawns overcast with a fine drizzle. After visiting a local farmers' market, we hit the Confederation Trail again which takes us through increasing rain, the first of our stay, to Summerside, the second largest town on PEI. Here we find a B&B at a large Victorian house, still furnished in the Victorian style. Our host here is a bicycle enthusiast who entertains us with tales from his grand bicycle tour of Europe in 1974. In the afternoon, the sun is back, and we enjoy sitting in the harbour and watching all the holiday people. In the evening there's a performance at the nearby Harbour Front Jubilee Theatre of "Here on the Island", a collection of local music and stories. Very good!
