Bull Bay to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
Thursday 17 July 1997
We started the day with a walk on to the headland at Bull Bay, a lovely
windswept place with the waves crashing on the cliffs. The wind had now
turned to the north which suited us very well. We managed another day of
quiet country roads from the north of Anglesey to a place close to the
village with the long name (58 characters). The landscape is dominated
by green grass and plenty of sheep, and the villages are more lively than
the ones in Denmark. More people on the streets, pubs and shops are open. The
wind at our back, and the sun shining most of the way, we did more than
60 kms, the longest stretch yet, ending in the flat valley of the river
Afan Cefni which we cross before ascending a steep hill and approaching
the village with the long name.
