Bicycle trip in the South West of Ireland 1996
Dunmanus Castle, built by O'Mahoney in 1430

After a steep climb , we realised that we had missed a turning and
had to go back downhill, and then up another steep road, and finally down-hill
again to Goleen. From there we made another false turn looking for accomodation
and a ferry which was marked on the map. We found neither, and went on
to Crookshaven, passing a very nice beach on the way. In Crookshaven, a
small village and harbour, we found our B&B at Marconi House which
was once the home of Guglielmo Marconi, the father of wireless.
