After a big homemade breakfast with bacon and eggs, we start out for Kraka’s
Café in Kräcklingbo where we have booked a room. The weather
is overcast, but good for cycling, and we follow the Gotlandsleden as before.
Today, we mostly pass through sparsely populated woodland with a few summerhouse
areas where the road comes close to the coast. We also see a couple of
churches which look much like the ones we have already seen. At one point,
there’s a sign for "Norrlanda Fornhem", a collection of old houses stacked
with old tools and artefacts of no particular merit except being old, and
with no explanations of their use ? not very impressive.
The last part of the journey is along a path through the woods without
any cars ? what a blessing that is! Also, the path winds instead of being
arrow-straight like the regular road. We reach our goal in fairly good
condition, and get a large airy room in an old house where there is also
a café and a shop selling Kraka’s lambskin pillows and hats etc.
