While waiting for our breakfast of homemade delicacies, we watch the hummingbirds feed on the sugarwater provided in little plastic cups fastened to the outside of the windows. Amazing!
After cycling through the woods again on very quiet roads, we reach highway 1 along the south coast of PEI which is also surprisingly quiet for a major road, and with a broad asphalted shoulder with plenty of room for bikes. We make a stop at South Pinetto at the laundromat before our lunch break at Lord Selkirk Provincial Park, where there are camping facilities and a small golf course.
Today we've not booked a B&B in advance, but manage to find accomodation at a small collection of cottages run by an elderly couple at Orwell. Advice to the contrary, though, we do not manage to find any sort of evening meal anywhere close, so we go to sleep on a diet of salt biscuits and whisky.
